Andrew Schulman, Medical Musician

Wow, just finished listening to the podcast "All in the Mind", a weekly radio show from Australia. This week's episode is entitled "The Medical Muso" about American musician Andrew Schulman.
Andrew was in ICU with terminal acidosis and in a coma. In desperation, his wife hooked him up to his iPod and simply played the first track. Turned out that the music (St Matthew Passion by J.S. Bach) stabilized him in 30 minutes.
He remained stable, came out of his coma and was transferred to another floor for further monitoring. His roommate's guests were so noisy he decided to put on his iPod for the first time since the coma.
You can find out what happened to him next by following this link: It's an amazing story. I promise you won't be disappointed.
