Get Ready for the Stowe Weekend of Hope May 4-6, 2018

If you haven't attended before, you're into a real treat. The town of Stowe, Vermont hosts this weekend for cancer survivors and their families. If it is your first time as an attendee, lodging is free. Returnees also get low rates.

The weekend offers survivors and their families educational and inspirational activities.

Registration opens March 1st and fills quickly. Say that you're part of Turning-the-Tide Ovarian Cancer Retreat group so that we can all hopefully lodge together!

Free book from the National Academies website

"Incorporating Weight Management and Physical Activity Throughout the Cancer Continuum" is a free download from the National Academy of Science, Engineering and Medicine.

They have a lot of neat material - I believe I posted ages ago about their publication on the state of ovarian cancer care and research in this country. (Here's the link if you haven't already checked it out.) It was very easy to read and delved into the different types of ovarian cancers, socioeconomic data, treatment options and survivorship, just to name a few.

National Academies is free to subscribe to and you can pick the areas of interest you want to receive updates on.
Here's the link to the general NAP website. Happy reading!
